1. About these terms
These terms govern the video editing services provided by Hemavarman M, operating under the brand Content Varman from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. By booking an editing package, paying an invoice, or submitting footage for editing, you (“client”) accept these terms. They are governed by the laws of India, with exclusive jurisdiction in the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
2. Services
I provide script-to-Reel and short-form video editing services, turning raw phone takes, voice memos, and unscripted recordings into polished vertical videos (~45 seconds) inside Adobe Premiere Pro. The specific scope, number of videos, revision rounds, delivery timelines, and monthly retainers are detailed in your invoice or written agreement, which forms part of these terms.
3. Fees and payment
Service fees and monthly retainers are invoiced in advance of each editing batch or billing cycle unless agreed otherwise in writing. Work begins once payment is received. Invoices are payable within 7 calendar days of receipt. Applicable taxes are charged in addition to stated service fees where required by law.
4. Client responsibilities and footage rights
You are responsible for uploading your raw takes, audio files, and reference notes to our agreed cloud folder in a timely manner. Delays in uploading footage directly affect delivery schedules. You confirm that you hold all rights, licenses, and permissions for the footage, images, logos, and audio you supply, and that your content complies with applicable laws and social media platform rules. You agree to hold me harmless from any copyright claims or disputes arising from media you provide.
5. No guarantee of viral reach or algorithm performance
Video reach depends on platform algorithms, audience behavior, your niche, and your offer. While I apply editorial craft, narrative pacing, and audio cleanup to improve retention, I do not guarantee specific view counts, follower increases, viral reach, or inbound client leads. Case studies or past results shown on this site represent specific outcomes and are not a promise of identical results.
6. Revisions and project sign-off
Each video batch includes the revision rounds specified in your proposal (typically up to two rounds of minor adjustments per video). Revision requests must be submitted within 7 business days of draft delivery. Revisions cover pacing adjustments, subtitle corrections, framing punches, and audio balancing within the scope of the raw footage provided. Revisions do not cover completely re-scripting, recording entirely new footage, or changing the core topic after delivery.
7. Cancellation and refunds
Because professional editing requires dedicated calendar time and custom creative work, fees paid for completed work or active monthly retainers are non-refundable. Monthly retainers may be cancelled at the end of any paid billing cycle by giving written notice via email to contentvarman@gmail.com at least 14 days before the next invoice date.
8. Raw footage storage and deletion
Raw 4K video files require significant local drive capacity. I store your raw footage, project files, and finished exports for 30 calendar days following final delivery to handle minor adjustments or re-exports. After 30 days, working project files and raw takes may be permanently deleted. You are responsible for keeping your own backup copies of all original raw takes.
9. Intellectual property and portfolio rights
Upon receipt of full payment, you own all rights to the finished, exported video deliverables created specifically for you. I retain ownership of my underlying project presets, editing workflows, and timeline templates. Unless you request an explicit non-disclosure agreement (NDA) or written opt-out before work begins, I reserve the right to display finished video clips, unedited-versus-edited excerpts, and anonymized performance results on my website, social channels, and case studies as proof of craft.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, my total liability arising out of the editing services is limited to the fees you paid me in the single billing period preceding the claim. I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, platform account suspensions, or lost business opportunities.
11. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms occasionally. The version published on this page at the time you pay an invoice or begin an engagement applies to that project.
